9pm Cocktails and French Class with Claudine and Petit Bal

"Petit-Bal"specializes in French cabaret songs, the repertoire evokes cabarets, jazzy influence and Parisian street from the years 1950 to 1970 and more recent tunes. The bandwas formed in winter 2011 by French bornClaudine Cochet-Muchy,bassistKent Weber,guitaristWalter SopickiandaccordionistScott Slocum.

Claudine is described as : "a dramatic singer among who are maintaining the tradition of poetic interpretation" (from F. Gallino, French voice teacher). She used toperform in cabarets and private partieswith her own band in Grenoble areain France and she alsoformed a band for her French repertoire with 2American musicians in Portland OR. where she lived between 2000 & 2004.

Kent Weberis a member of the Buffalo music hall of fame and has been performing, writing and recording music for over 30 years. He has shared the stage with John and Mary, David Kane and them Jazzbeards, Nullstadt, and Djambossa, just to name a few.

Walt Sopickihas been performing and recording in Buffalo for over 20 years. He plays with David Kane's them Jazzbeards, and various jazz groups in the Buffalo area. He currently performs every Sunday at the Left Bank restaurant.

Scott Slocumlearned to play the accordion after years playing the piano, by busking - playing in the street, first in buffalo and then in Boston. He dances with the Buffalo Contact-Impro Performance Group and he sings with the Buffalo Philharmonic Choir. Scott also practices massage therapy at KC's Fitness in downtown Buffalo.
